Vote NO on the "Son of Stimulus" (American 'Jobs' Act)

Whereas past economic “stimulus” packages have failed to accomplish anything but draining massive amounts of money from the federal treasury while the economy, inflation and unemployment continued to worsen; and

Whereas Congress has raised the federal debt ceiling ten times in the past ten years; and

Whereas the current administration has already added $4 trillion to the national debt; and

Whereas the national debt now tops $14 trillion and is larger than the entire economic output of the United States; and

Whereas the 2009 “stimulus” package only resulted in more federal debt, higher deficits and failed to deliver any economic recovery as promised;

Whereas Congress cannot continue to spend money we do not have; and

Whereas nations around the world are experiencing economic collapse due to pursuing the same course of overspending;

Therefore I do hereby petition my members of Congress to vote "NO" on President Obama’s proposed "jobs" plan.

His proposal is nothing more than payoffs to union bosses and other political friends at taxpayer expense. It will do nothing to improve the nation’s economy, but will saddle our children and our children’s children with even more debt.

We must learn to live within our means before it’s too late to recover from crushing debt and unsustainable spending.

For the sake of our nation and our children’s’ futures we urge you not to waste any more public money on failed stimulus-type spending. Vote NO on any bill to implement the president’s stimulus-style “jobs” plan.
