Vote "NO" on Raising Our Nation's Debt Ceiling

Whereas Congress has raised the federal debt ceiling ten times in the past ten years; and

Whereas there is no time like the present to stop recklessly raising the government’s credit limit; and

Whereas the federal debt now tops $14 trillion and is larger than the entire economic output of the United States; and

Whereas Congress cannot continue to spend money we do not have; and

Whereas nations around the world are experiencing economic collapse due to pursuing the same course of overspending and borrowing;

Therefore I do hereby petition my members of Congress to vote "NO" on any attempt to once again recklessly increase the federal debt ceiling.
We must learn to live within our means before it’s too late to recover from crushing debt and unsustainable spending.
For the sake of our nation and our children’s’ futures we urge you not to add to our nation’s staggering debt.
